Filter Holder Storage Box for SeeStar 2” Filter Holder

Keep your filters mounted onto the ZWO SeeStar filter holders using our dedicated storage solution. The storage box has a capacity of 3 and is the perfect solution to keep your filters dust free after each session while avoiding unnecessary mounting and dismounting. It is also perfect for quickly and safely switching filters during imaging sessions. The lid and internal slots for the filter holders have a snug fit thanks to our precise engineering design. The bottom of the storage case is laid in a contrasting colour, helping better identify filters, especially when operating in darker environments. 

The filter holders can be mounted either way and can accomodate filters up to 8.5mm thick - not counting the thread part of the filter that fits within the filter holder itself: this accommodates the vast majority (if not all) 2” filters on the market today.

ZWO SeeStar 2” Filter Holder

Mount your 2” filters - such as deep sky imaging filters - onto your ZWO SeeStar S50 Smart Telescope using our custom designed filter holder. The filter holder mounts straight onto the opening of your telescope in front of the triplet APO lens and is designed to be a snug fit, ensuring it’ll stay in place regardless of the movements of the scope. Select the number of filter holders you want together with the storage box. We also have a listing for the filter holders only, without storage box.

Filter installation: we recommend mounting the filter holder onto your telescope, ensuring it is inserted all the way in. Then simply screw in your filter into the thread of the filter holder. Bear in mind you are screwing into plastic, so be gentle and do not over-tighten as you risk damaging the plastic threads. When tightened properly, the assembly is very solid and the filter firmly held in place.

Please read these important warnings:

  • NOT FOR USE WITH SUN FILTERS: Always use the ZWO supplied sun filter.
  • Remember to remove this filter holder prior to shutting your telescope down, or you will be causing some damage to the filter/scope when it retracts to its folded position.
  • This does not include any filter, or the telescope!
