Baader Hyperion 68° Eyepiece - 21mm
Baader Hyperion Eyepieces are designed for visual and photographic applications and excel in both fields.
The Hyperion design has dual barrel featuring both 1.25" and 2", fitting into either size focuser or diagonal. Both barrel sizes have a safety groove for safe use in your telescope and are threaded for connection to all standard 1.25" and 2" filters.
Each Hyperion features Baader's PHANTOM-GROUP Multi-Coatings for maximum light transmission, ultimate in image contrast and zero internal reflections.
The Hyperion is a comfortable eyepiece with 20mm eye relief and a large field of view that is easily visible, even with eyeglasses. The whole series is parfocal, meaning no focusing adjustments are required when switching eyepieces.
A field of view of 68 degrees is regarded as ideal for astronomical observations and is the largest field of view that can be viewed without strain and without turning your eyes.
Each Hyperion is supplied with a soft leather storage bag for safe keeping, and two dust caps for storing the eyepiece with either the rubber eyeguard either folded up or down!
With an adapter ring you can mount a camera directly onto the eyepiece, for imaging with the eyepiece projection technique. There are two photographic threads on each Hyperion, M43 and SP54. These threads are located under the rubber eye-cap, or rather beneath the thread protecting ring which is made of high-quality and aging-resistant silicone rubber.
Each Hyperion eyepiece can get its focal length adjusted through the use of fine tuning rings (FTR). These optional rings are inserted between the main body and the 1.25" barrel which contains the first group of lenses.
Excellent performance at a remarkable price!
